In order to shape an idea in the consciousness of society, it is important to give the listener the feeling of becoming a part of it and to show alternatives that do not restrict their personal freedom. Emphasizing one’s own opinion or the only right way only describes the compromise for one’s own point of view. Self-interest usually reflects the needs of society and shows the priorities for finding solutions. This blurs the actual goal and the actual solution cannot solve the problem.

Environmental protection

Our understanding of problem solving and how to overcome them always follows a set direction. If society is faced with a problem, we use the current development progress to take appropriate measures until the right solution provides us with a remedy to the problem. One could argue that our repertoire of possibilities follows a fixed size. Just like the selection from a set of rules, the efforts to overcome problems are predefined and adapted to the stage of development. This process is close to our society because it is a valued practice and is therefore easier to implement. Different types of solutions or methods determine the path to actual implementation. However, the rules do not tell us whether this approach will lead to the goal.

Environment describes the space around us, regardless of whether this comes from us humans or from nature. Sustainability is currently used for all topics that represent savings or ecological functions. This creates a large scope that complicates our actions in the areas of environment or sustainability.

Thoughts on geoengineering

Geoengineering is a term that today suggests large-scale intervention in the climate system. According to the definition, methods and technologies are used that aim to deliberately change the climate in order to mitigate the consequences of climate change.

However, geoengineering can be defined and used in a variety of applications, globally and regionally. Measures usually differ in the scale and intensity of implementation. Its applications are largely subject to anthropogenic processes that primarily aim to bring about climatic change. This can lead to undefined effects that we cannot yet assess.

This process allows our society a structured development and a growing standard of living. If a social need arises due to new technologies, supply services or existing or foreseeable changes, projects can fill this gap. The decisive factor is the goal that is to be defined and achieved. A direct solution is not always the most sustainable and efficient approach. For our social needs, a direct strategy is sufficient and fulfills the purpose. However, these processes do not provide a solution for our climate or the environment.

Our world is changing and society is realizing that our impact on the environment is a threat to all of life. Efficiency and sustainability are becoming important factors that are crucial for the preservation of our environment.

New strategies and approaches must be adapted to nature-related processes and linked to our anthropogenic processes. This will ensure direct support for nature and the climate. Our environment benefits from this step because the relationship between society and nature is balanced.

Understanding

Our society often prefers the uncomplicated way, which is compatible with its understanding of development. Uncomplicated – does not primarily mean that it is the right or wrong way, but only that a new direction is being pursued. Only future generations will be able to decide whether this will lead to success.

Today, we are in a difficult position to make unconventional decisions that not only change the way our society lives, but also its environment. From a global perspective, this is currently becoming an unsolvable problem due to the demands of different cultures. The urgency of reaching a consensus among ourselves is the key instrument of our time. As long as this process of enlightenment leads nowhere, our efforts will not be heard and the problems will not be solved.

The pioneering strategy promises a remedy. A community uses its scientific understanding and economic means to initiate a global leadership role for a vital change. The positive effect enables a gradual convergence towards a common understanding that in turn brings the world closer. In this way, risks can be limited for the time being and improvements can be incorporated more easily. However, this strategy can only work if one requirement is met. It must result in economic benefits that help the implementing community to live with the project.

This involves a phase of education that makes it possible to define communities that can take that step. It is understandable that many countries do not know their full potential and therefore do not successfully exploit their position. There is a lack of awareness of the implementation and its effects. To achieve this awareness, incentives must be created that allow the process of change to be integrated into social life. In the real world, these incentives are currently not perceived as they do not directly pursue the global goal.

How do you feed a country that does not want to limit its interests for the good of society? By integrating the country’s aspirations into the planned project. With this step, various processes can be considered and implemented simultaneously. The range is wide. Be it climate protection, environmental protection or nature conservation. All possibilities are available to link the land with ecological processes. Implementing the cooperation of two worlds in one process is the task we set ourselves. We are currently pursuing this goal with the concept called „Terra-UAE“, which combines the goals of the United Arab Emirates with the requirements of environmental protection efforts. The result is a step-by-step process change that enables new strategies and brings the world closer to the goal.

A new perspective on environmental protection

Environmental protection is playing an increasingly important role in our lives and is shaping our everyday lives. It’s time to take a closer look at this topic and take a critical look at its importance.

Today, the topic accompanies us in every situation. But the actual meaning does not reflect the purpose of what it actually stands for. Protecting an environment that actively shapes and influences our society does not correspond to the idea of the actual goal.

In their role, people occupy a large living space without consciously realizing it. In doing so, they indirectly shape their surroundings and thus also the environment. Areas where untouched nature still exists and the influence of our civilization is absent are becoming smaller from year to year. In this way, humans are displacing nature and threatening its basic supply. The term environment therefore no longer has any reference to life as a whole, but only a purely social purpose. We care about the actual protection of the environment, but we are reshaping the process too much according to our own ideas. The current tense situation and financial resources play a significant role in this.

However, the environment describes all of life and its development. Flora, fauna, mountains, lakes, oceans and our species form the community of the environment. Nature with its ecosystem and our society with its anthropogenic processes therefore share the environment. The difference lies in the type of change. If we plan our process conservatively, without taking nature or the ecosystem with us, the consequence will be a displacement of nature from the environmental picture.

But it doesn’t have to come to that. Humanity is capable of reshaping processes that are harmful to the environment. A large number of ideas are currently in the pipeline, but most of them focus on social problems. We need to focus more on an ecological process. If we invest energy in preserving an ecosystem, then conversely we have more energy available from the ecosystem than we spend on it. This is because an ecosystem of a certain size can be self-sufficient. This means that all the benefits for the local population can be claimed. The result is a reduction in the amount of energy and thus also a natural CO2 sink.

This creates a great deal of leeway, which complicates our actions in the areas of environment or sustainability.

In order to make targeted statements for a consultation that gives our actions a positive weighting for the future, processes must be defined that follow a recurring direction. Only in connection with renewable processes that have a natural influence is a future-oriented decision for the environment and its sustainability possible.

It is therefore important to create a central foundation that pursues an overriding goal to which our social orientation is aligned. Only in this way can we consolidate our environmental awareness for the future and move closer to nature in our sustainability efforts.

We strive for an efficient approach to the environment and sustainability through a concept that, viewed globally, represents an enrichment for nature and our society. The aim is to combine natural processes and anthropogenic processes in order to utilize the advantages of both. In this way, functions, processes and developments are represented in a cycle and allow the majority of our social environmental efforts to be geared towards this. This helps our civilization to initiate sustainable structures to stop the current downward spiral of diversity.

Our efforts to protect the environment are currently not following a path of success. This is because the approach and the definition of the achievable goal do not follow a uniform strategy. There are numerous variants of projects that provide the environment with the degree of support it has lost due to the failure of ecological processes. However, none of these approaches address the actual problem. Dynamic processes cannot be enforced by predefined solutions.

The environment is a living construct that is constantly being redefined by external influences. Controlling complex processes requires a forward-looking strategy that leads to success through defined goals. With a conventional set of rules that only considers the problem, overlapping processes are not taken into account and therefore cannot pursue a fixed goal.

The environment can only regenerate and recultivate itself if all our efforts are supported by a superordinate system. A healthy ecosystem can take on this task because it is able to control and regulate external influences. With this support, our society could hand over the main burden of the project to nature and focus exclusively on preserving the ecosystem. This would give rise to new processes that would help our environment to flourish anew.

However, geoengineering can be defined and used in a variety of applications, globally and regionally. Measures usually differ in the scale and intensity of implementation. Most of their applications involve anthropogenic processes in order to achieve a desired climatic goal. This can lead to undefined effects that we cannot yet assess.

Today, we are in a position to apply geoengineering (climate adaptation measures) regionally and in a targeted manner, so that processes can generate climatic effects in a controllable and reproducible manner.

This helps us to quickly understand the effects on nature and our society and to take measures to repair the system.

Terra-UAE corresponds to a concept for regional geoengineering that primarily supports arid zones. The focus is on the processes of implementation, whose measures have only a small anthropogenic footprint. The majority is implemented through natural processes. This limits the scale of costs and risks for the ecological, financial, social and political sectors. In this way, we are able to achieve changes in key climate regions that play a dominant role in weather processes.

Regions that are hostile to life and have a formative impact on the climate thus become controllable and central places in the world that not only provide living space, but also primarily regulate the climate.

Projekt, neu gedacht!

Als Projekt betrachten wir ein gesellschaftlichen Prozess, der zum Erreichen einer definierten Ziels beiträgt.

So erlaubt dieser Prozess unserer Gesellschaft ein strukturierten Entwicklung und eine wachsende Lebensstandard. Entsteht ein gesellschaftlicher Bedarf aufgrund neuer Techniken, Versorgungsleistungen, oder bestehenden oder absehbaren Veränderungen, können Projekte diese Lücke füllen. Entscheidend ist das Ziel was definiert und erreicht werden soll. So ist eine direkte Lösung nicht immer die nachhaltigste und effiziente Herangehensweise. Für unseren gesellschaftlichen Bedarf ist eine direkte Strategie ausreichend und erfüllt den Zweck. Doch geben diese Prozesse keine Lösung für unser Klima oder der Umwelt.

Unsere Welt lebt im Wandel und der Gesellschaft wird bewusst, dass unser Eingriff in die Umwelt, eine Gefahr für das gesamte Leben darstellt. Effizienz und Nachhaltigkeit werden zu wichtige Größen, die entscheidend für die Bewahrung unser Umwelt sind.

Neue Strategie und Herangehensweisen müssen auf naturbezogene Prozesse angepasst und mit unseren anthropogenen Prozessen verknüpft werden. Damit ist eine direkte Unterstützung für die Natur und das Klima gesichert. Unsere Umwelt profitiert mit diesem Schritt, weil das Verhältnis zwischen Gesellschaft und Natur ausgeglichen wird.

COP 28 und TERRA UAE

Die kommende COP 28 Konferenz wird eine der wichtigsten internationalen Veranstaltungen sein, die sich mit der Bekämpfung des Klimawandels und der Förderung von Umweltschutz und Nachhaltigkeit beschäftigt. Die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate haben die Ehre, als Gastgeber dieser Veranstaltung zu fungieren und haben sich in den letzten Jahren in diesem Bereich als Vorreiter etabliert. Ein wichtiger Beitrag dazu könnte das umfassende Terra UAE-Projekt, das sich vollständig in die Ziele und Vorhaben der COP 28 Konferenz einfügt. …
