Nature influences society

If we take the path of promoting environmental protection and sustainability and adapting our surroundings accordingly, sooner or later we will reach a point where social advantages are always preferred to ecological processes. Urbanization and agriculture shape today’s landscape and systematically displace natural life. As a result, natural processes are weakened or interrupted.

If we want to actively find a solution to our problems such as species extinction, diversity or global warming, we need to bring nature back into our society.

It will not be enough to protect distant areas and close them off from us. We must learn to work with nature and incorporate its benefits into our processes. Only by harnessing the power of a healthy ecosystem can we reduce energy-intensive processes and thus massively increase our sustainability.

This means that environmental protection starts on our doorstep. But how much nature is necessary to bring our society into balance with nature? This question will only become apparent if we succeed in establishing our existing processes in an ecological cycle system and connecting them with nature. Only in this way can flora and fauna be adapted to the respective region in order to fully utilize its advantages.

Terra-FOOD contributes to demonstrating this connection and presenting solutions that describe a link between natural and social processes. The fruits of our future grow from such a symbiosis and ensure a secure supply for generations to come.

Permaculture

The concept of conservation describes the way in which we humans can live together with the immediate natural world in order to achieve mutual benefits. The purpose is for society to provide for itself in a natural habitat. Our actions, in turn, correspond to helping the actual natural system. This is based on thinking in terms of interrelationships and interactions, with the help of a holistic design approach. The focus is not only on recultivating nature, but also takes into account ethical principles that emphasize our efforts for the planet (Earth Care), people (People Care) and fair distribution (Fair Share). These are all important building blocks for survival in harmony with nature. The importance of such an approach is described and practiced in the concept of permaculture. With Terra-FOOD, we are creating the connection between two worlds (nature and society) in the daily picture of life. It serves as the last important factor in the Terra-UAE project.

Meaning & Purpose
Earth. A unique oasis that creates a habitat in the desert of space where life could develop and still exists today. We are all a community living in symbiosis on this planet. Humans, as the dominant species, have an overriding role on Earth and must face the coming changes with care so that we can protect and preserve life. This succeeds because humans are intelligent creatures that actively perceive their environment, make decisions and work out solutions. If symbiosis were to be extinguished by our ignorance on earth, normal life would also no longer be possible. Today we are at a turning point. Our current situation requires extreme attention and a fundamental global change that affects not only humans, but life as we know it. Natural processes have been accelerated by humans and are picking up speed at a rate that nature cannot keep up with. Due to the decline of nature, the planet is losing its green lungs and with them the basis for all life. Humanity is faced with the task of finding a solution to the coming problem so that life and our continued existence on this planet can be secured. Terra-UAE creates a solution to the coming change. This solution describes in a comprehensive way how humanity can use its existing technology to create a buffer to take the speed out of the dynamic process. Our idea provides a different perspective on the future. Considering that humanity is capable of moving mountains, it is also possible to create an ecological buffer that can cushion and minimise our climate-damaging problems. If we were to add a new quantity to the global equation that would allow us to compensate for the negative impact on our planet, the steady decay would be slowed down. This project serves the common good of all life forms on Earth and strengthens the symbiotic basis of existence on our home planet. Critical changes in the environmental conditions are thus remedied - we open the way for humanity into a new age in which it can develop and exist anew.
Statement
Terra UAE is of the opinion that the biggest aggressor for the imbalance of climatic conditions on the planet is the increasing global warming in combination with the decline in biodiversity. At the same time, the solution to our climate and environmental problems lies in the deserts. Active intervention, with the help of a functioning ecosystem, is the key to our action. Terra-UAE is at the beginning of an idea to realize the symbiotic balancing act between society and nature. We are behind a climate project whose scope aims to take global action against global warming.
Saving the climate - away from climate protection - towards a climate project!
We have to get out of climate protection thinking and actively work for a climate project that does not turn to anthropogenic influence, but takes on a superior role to directly protect the climate. The direction must be to stabilise the climate so that we neither spend energy on it nor actively engage in climate protection. This can work if natural processes in nature are accelerated and targeted renaturation is pursued with the help of our existing technology. In the future, we can not only use this to regulate the climate, but also create new living space and give future generations a perspective for the future. In this way, we give nature a direction that, with the help of an infrastructure project, transforms arid zones into areas worth living in. By doing this, we maintain the basic supply for society and active protection for the stability of the climate.

Projekt, neu gedacht!

Als Projekt betrachten wir ein gesellschaftlichen Prozess, der zum Erreichen einer definierten Ziels beiträgt.

So erlaubt dieser Prozess unserer Gesellschaft ein strukturierten Entwicklung und eine wachsende Lebensstandard. Entsteht ein gesellschaftlicher Bedarf aufgrund neuer Techniken, Versorgungsleistungen, oder bestehenden oder absehbaren Veränderungen, können Projekte diese Lücke füllen. Entscheidend ist das Ziel was definiert und erreicht werden soll. So ist eine direkte Lösung nicht immer die nachhaltigste und effiziente Herangehensweise. Für unseren gesellschaftlichen Bedarf ist eine direkte Strategie ausreichend und erfüllt den Zweck. Doch geben diese Prozesse keine Lösung für unser Klima oder der Umwelt.

Unsere Welt lebt im Wandel und der Gesellschaft wird bewusst, dass unser Eingriff in die Umwelt, eine Gefahr für das gesamte Leben darstellt. Effizienz und Nachhaltigkeit werden zu wichtige Größen, die entscheidend für die Bewahrung unser Umwelt sind.

Neue Strategie und Herangehensweisen müssen auf naturbezogene Prozesse angepasst und mit unseren anthropogenen Prozessen verknüpft werden. Damit ist eine direkte Unterstützung für die Natur und das Klima gesichert. Unsere Umwelt profitiert mit diesem Schritt, weil das Verhältnis zwischen Gesellschaft und Natur ausgeglichen wird.

COP 28 und TERRA UAE

Die kommende COP 28 Konferenz wird eine der wichtigsten internationalen Veranstaltungen sein, die sich mit der Bekämpfung des Klimawandels und der Förderung von Umweltschutz und Nachhaltigkeit beschäftigt. Die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate haben die Ehre, als Gastgeber dieser Veranstaltung zu fungieren und haben sich in den letzten Jahren in diesem Bereich als Vorreiter etabliert. Ein wichtiger Beitrag dazu könnte das umfassende Terra UAE-Projekt, das sich vollständig in die Ziele und Vorhaben der COP 28 Konferenz einfügt. …
